Growing The Blog
This week has been frustrating for me. I was having issues with the Google Site plugin on my WordPress blog. First of all the plugin was having issues so I couldn’t view my console.
So I had to switch to MonsterInsights plugin for a better view on what’s happening with my blog. I love how this plugin gives a better view of analytics in terms of referral sources

There was a major dip in the blog growth end of December. I don’t know why my sessions or users plunged. However it slowly picked up after the G Site Kit plugin started working again

I’m a bit worried though. I am posting pins everyday consistently, making videos and linking my blog posts and social media has my blog links where I’m posting shorts everyday but still I’m just upto 250 impressions. I started writing seriously from November 2025 so I’d say this growth is still going to be a longer road.
I am aiming for 10,000 impressions to qualify for Journey by Mediavine
The ultimate goal is to reach 50,000 impressions to qualify for Mediavine!
The journey from 250 to 10k impressions is going to be a lot of learning curve. And that’s when it clicked me that I’m doing social media wrong
The Instagram roadmap
Okay, now that I know that my only goal is to get maximum hits and impressions on my blog, I started to pivot my niche direction.
Speaking of niche, I switched from Cozy niche to Creator Business & Creator Mindset niche.
I figured the Cozy niche was keeping me too small as a Creator. I wanted to expand beyond the Cozy tag. That’s when it hit me to be bold and talk about things I’m really passionate about.
I am an introvert and a former shy person in life. In my content creation journey, I’m learning so much about confidence and publishing boldly online.
And that’s what my niche is now.
However, that’s clashing with growing my blog.

I’m creating more content about starting a blog, writing with a mix of mindset and confident content creation for creators.
I’m talking about my blog + my blog content = WINNING FORMULA
Now to execute this successfully, I had created 17 shorts last week and realized that I post them anyway. They were all centered around confidence and mindset. Not one of them about starting a blog or why one should start a blog.
Why am I making so much noise around blogging?
Because I have created a blogging kit and I am yet to make some sales from it.
So I need start creating some noise around this topic.
Expect to see some posts coming on starting a blog. I’m going to be starting a whole campaign in getting the world to start blogging :P
YouTube growth and subscribers
I’ve been growing slowly on YouTube because I started posting shorts.
Now I’m afraid that my shorts is stealing away watch time from my long form videos.
I want the focus to be on long form. I talk about my process there a lot.
This week I posted about mindset naturally since the pivot in niche
But this is helping me and my content. Everything I write on my blog, I make a video out of it and then that becomes inspiration for my short content.
Edits replaced Capcut
I was living under a cave. I didn’t even realize the power of Instagram’s new app Edits. It literally cut my work in half by being the Capcut replacement. 1 less annual cost for me as a solo creator who is yet to make money.

And the win-win strategy is that if you create reels using Edits, your Instagram is going to blow up
