And I’m not delulu

I took a big risk - so much that I used to dream about it. It was finally time for me to move on and take the call.

Every night I had nightmares about living the 9-5 job which wasn’t serving any purpose

Every morning I woke up thinking that one more day got wasted because I didn’t take that plunge

Maybe it works for some people but it didn’t work for majority of the folks who took risks

I wanted to have laser focus on my dreams which means I had to give it my undivided attention.

How did I start?

First I decided to register my business Create Radiantly. I write my blog under this name as well. I figured might as well take my dreams seriously and to start treating it like a business

I started setting up my digital assets - brand name, blog articles, keyword research, purchased software subscriptions for a year

Then I started to setup a content calendar on Notion. I’ll be honest I did this just last week whereas this should’ve been the first step

How is it going?

Well, it is working great! I mean I had my content and setup all over the place but the planning helped immensely. I started with blogging and researched that universe

I scoured communities on Reddit (/blogging community is incredibly supportive), bookmarked my fav bloggers, researched Pinterest​

The next best thing I did was maintain consistency. I have been religious. I wake up in the morning, write my blog and pin pin pin!

My views started to go up and people started to visit my blog more

What am I learning?

That why I didn’t take this step sooner

I am a natural at this. Yes, I have my days where there are ups and downs but I enjoy this

Every morning I wake up and I find joy to work hard on my business

I am no longer surrounded by the 9-5 panic

I am no longer answerable to another boss. I finally am taking control of my life

Back home if you had a job, it meant that you’re independent. That was a complete lie. True independence came from owning my own business

What’s next?

I have a few goals I want to achieve from writing and content creation. However, the biggest one is to monetize Create Radiantly blog with Mediavine. This means I need to achieve 50k impressions on my blog. I am diligently working towards that

Along with that, I am laser focused on building my community

Being an entrepreneur gets super lonely so I want to network with similar minds and hype other beginner business owners as well

So I started this newsletter. It helps me threefold

• Building a community
• Building my email list
• Practice my writing
